News & Events
Thank you to all of our 2018 Annual Seminar sponsors who joined us for dinner, drinks and bowling at the Plank for our 2019 (post) Holiday Party. What a great time!
Thank you!
Thanks to all the Board Members, Vendors and Presenters who made the 6th Annual Board Appreciation and Education Seminar and Trade Show an incredible success! This is our 6th event, and it keeps getting better, and all the credit goes to our many amazing partners and clients. Also, huge kudos go to the Collins Management staff who worked so hard to pull off this special event. As community management professionals, we take Board member education very seriously, and this seminar is an excellent opportunity to thank Board members for their service and arm them with the tools and knowledge to be more effective volunteers.
Collins-mgmt.com now Optimized for Smartphones
Thousands of homeowners access our website each month, 60% of them using a smartphone. To adapt to this trend, we optimized our website for smartphones and tablets. Most of our clients already subscribe to the web portal service, but for those that do not, we will be waiving our start-up fees for new clients in January of 2017. Our secure web portal allows homeowners to pay HOA dues, issue maintenance requests, download HOA documents, update their contact info, check their payment history, and more.
Board Member Training
Collins Management remains committed to Board Member education, most notably through our Annual Board Member Appreciation and Education Seminar, scheduled for March 18 at Hs Lordships in Berkeley. This year, we will continue hosting a series of New Board Member Training Sessions. These intimate sessions will provide new Board members with the tools to be successful as volunteer directors.

Manager Qualifications
Management companies are legally required to disclose whether their managers are certified. However, there is no minimum standard for manager certification, and many management companies have adopted the less expensive and easily achievable "CMCA" certification offered through CAI. We are proud to report that all of our managers are certified with the prestigious Certified "CCAM®" (Certified Community Association Manager) through the California Association of Community Managers (www.cacm.com). We believe that skimping on manager training is not a good business strategy. Our managers also go through a lengthy industry-leading training process
Company Accreditation
We are one of the few management companies in Northern California to earn the "ACMC®" (Accredited Community Management Company) through CACM®, which requires a rigorous review of all our business practices, including a full CPA audit of our accounting systems. The ACMC designation conveys that our firm has committed to the highest ethical standards, utilizes necessary internal financial controls and risk management practices, and implements industry best practices in delivering service to our clients.
